FAQ

  • How did you get into photography?

I have always been interested in art and in nature. When I was younger, I used to draw animal portraits, and nature images in pencil, charcoal, and pastels.
After taking a break from drawing while I studied at university, I found my way back into the similar field of photography - and nature photography in particular.
I love the outside, and all things natural. Photography allows me to spend lots of time out in the peace and quiet, capturing the sights and feelings, to share with others.

  • What are your favourite subjects to photograph?

I like large mammals best. Since we don't have large predators here in the UK, the non-British species I have photographed have been in captivity. But I hope to get to see them in the wild before too long.
I'm also keen on deer, and birds of prey, which are accessible in the UK.

  • What's your favourite location?

I'm fortunate to live very close to Woburn Abbey, so I love to go down to the deer park, particularly over autumn and winter. It's a fantastic location for a quiet walk, offering a few miles of public footpaths, and gorgeous scenery.
