I was looking for a species to photograph that was a contrast to the types of animals I typically have in my portfolio. I wanted something brightly coloured, with a light-hearted character. I think this fabulous macaw fits the brief perfectly. he adds a splash of colour and a touch of glamour to my collection of animal portraits.
