Panoramas are wide-aspect photographs, often created by stitching together two or more photos taken at the same time.
I like to use panoramas to bring woodland and mountain scenes to life.
Since they're comprised of several photographs, the end result is generally a very high-resolution image, which will retain detail even at large print sizes. Their wide aspect can create a more life-like depiction of a landscape, and a more immersive experience - especially when printed very large.
